Autumn Art in Oak Class
Oak class has been busy exploring Autumn. We have learnt about the harvest, the Autumn Equinox and how animals get ready for the winter by collecting food. We really enjoyed making Autumn Crowns too

In maths, Oak Class we have been learning number bonds to 10 using cubes and the part-whole model. We are really good at this now!
For two weeks now, Willow Class has shown fantastic resilience and an undeniable enthusiasm to learn. All parents and guardians deserve recognition for the overwhelming amount of support that not only the children have received but myself included.
This week in Acorn class we found a frog trapped in a tyre in the outdoor area. We are not sure how it got there but we all decided it was not a good place for it to live. So we discussed different places the frog might like to live including a bucket, an old shoe and the lavender bush.
This term Chestnut Class have been studying the work of Henri Matisse, the famous French artist and produced some wonderful self-portraits in the style of Matisse.
A pupil's Fine Art in the style of Henri Émile Benoît Matisse (31 December 1869 – 3 November 1954), was a French artist, known for both his use of colour and his fluid and original draughtsmanship.
